Langham in Rutland
Mammals
Mammals spotted include stoats and weasels, brown hares, the Muntjac deer, foxes, and evidence of nocturnal ones such as badgers, hedgehogs and the various kinds of mice. Bats are often seen hunting insects in an evening. Ponds are part of many local gardens and there are a few on nearby farmland, so frogs, and newts are to be found. Grass snakes are also recorded from time to time.
